Our Values

Growth. Discipline. Unity. Passion.

Growth. Discipline. Unity. Passion.

We believe these are the core values that not only basket ball players should live by, but by everyone else. Invictus is a community where people of all ages can come to learn and grow together. Life is a journey that should not be walked alone, and Invictus would love to be a part of your journey.

We believe that every person carries the seed of success in them. No matter what they have been told, what academic results they may have had, or what they may believe about themselves – all young people have a unique gift and talent inside them that can change the world. Their success will depend on their ability to apply the essential skills that will enable them to navigate through life and develop an appreciation of performance values to foster an ethic of excellence and integrity. Our job is to help them identify that gift and help them discover that talent inside them.

Favourite Quote: No matter what, people grow. If you chose not to grow, you’re staying in a small box with a small mindset. People who win go outside of that box. It’s very simple when you look at it. ~ Kevin Hart

Coach Kevin have been playing basketball since he was 5 years old. He was always the shortest and least athletic player of the team. What he brings to his basketball team is toughness, grit and the unwavering “never give up” mindset.

Growing up in the boarding house with people from different backgrounds and cultures, he has learnt great communication skills and ability to create rapport with people of all ages and different background. He uses this skill to instill values and influence children to having a growth mindset, discipline, understand the meaning of family and unity and also learning what it is to be passionate.

Children at the adolescence age need someone that they can talk to, someone they can trust, and coach Kevin have definitely filled in that role for many people and many more to come.

Favourite Quote: Success is due to our stretching to the challenges of life. Failure comes when we shrink from them … Without failure, there can be no achievement. ~ John C Maxwell

Coach Patsy is the only non-basketball player in the academy. As an entrepreneur with over 40 years experience in business, finance and coaching, her role at Invictus Academy is to teach your children the essential skills for them to succeed when they enter the workforce using the same tools that she has used to grow, enhance her own productivity, development and decision-making skills, giving them the greatest advantage possible.

Her own journey has taken her from being just an accountant to consultant to business mentoring using a holistic approach that requires an in-depth knowledge and application of leadership skills, human behaviour and neuroscience as well as the technical skills for work. It is this background that has enabled her to develop the current Flight School curriculum, using a variety of tools and mediums of instruction to teach the essential principles and skills your child require to succeed in this changing world.
